After graduating from Delhi University and completing ITI (Garments), I pursued fashion designing at IIFT, graduating in the 1994-96 batch. I initially worked as a fashion designer and production manager in various export houses and later established my own export house. However, my intuition always nudged me towards the financial market, especially during the nascent stage of the lending business. In 1999-2000, circumstances led me to dive into this new field. As a fresher, I started as an executive in the credit card division at HSBC bank in 2000. However, after 4-5 months, I realized it wasn't my true calling and shifted my focus to the lending business. I joined The Associates, formerly known as Citi Financial, as a sub-DSA. My growth and success in the financial sector can be attributed to the invaluable training and guidance of the Sachin Grover team. Despite lacking a formal financial degree, the City Financial team played a crucial role in helping me establish a successful financial consultancy. I owe a great deal to my mentors in the financial market, including Mohit Wahi, Dinesh Vij, and Ayan Bhattacharya. Notably, Mr. Abhimanyu and Shailender Sir have been pivotal in shaping my career. As the promoter of RS1 Marketing, I prioritize maintaining strong relationships between bankers and clients, and my motto is to uphold a clean image in the financial market. With over 25 years of experience, my ultimate goal is to start a new NBFC focused specifically on NPAs. I have developed several policies on lending to NPAs, aiming to contribute my experience towards reducing the NPA burden in our country.
